Announcing M-Color 7 for AutoCAD
Tampere, Finland - 7 Oct 2002 -- Motive Systems has today announced M-Color 7, the latest version of its presentation plotting software for AutoCAD. M-Color 7 gives AutoCAD users new possibilities to present their 2-D CAD plots by offering highly efficient PDF and PostScript output with graphical effects such as gradient, translucent and textured fills. M-Color 7 runs with both AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT. The new version will be available for customers in October 2002. Motive Systems M -ColorM-Color is a color plotting application that enables the plotting of AutoCAD drawings in color easily and efficiently. Effects such as gradient fills, translucent fills and bitmap texturing can be used to improve the appearance of CAD plots. Motive Systems has been a registered Autodesk developer since 1993, at which time it began developing M-Color. Today, Motive Systems has sold more than 3,500 licenses of M-Color worldwide and M-Color has a strong market position as the leading presentation-plotting solution for AutoCAD. The world's leading companies in various fields use M-Color to produce the best possible CAD plots in the shortest time. Users of M-Color include SOM (Skidmore Owings & Merrill, LLP), HOK (Hellmuth, Obata + Kassabaum, Inc.), and ZGF (Zimmer Gunsul Frasca Partnership) and other leading AEC firms. New in M-Color 7M-Color 7 has an improved user interface with new productivity features such as filtered addition and selection of drawing layers, easier management of large plot appearance configurations, and numerous smaller enhancements. M-Color 7 introduces a faster engine for producing high-quality PDF files from AutoCAD presentation plots, with full support for graphical effects and font embedding. In M-Color 7, users can assign plotting properties and graphical effects to their AutoCAD drawings by AutoCAD layers or by the color of the objects in AutoCAD. M-Color 7 supports a new, highly anticipated graphical effect, a gradient fill that follows the shape of the area being filled. The new gradient fill type has a wide range of use especially in improving the appearance of mapping and landscape planning designs.
