Tyco Electronics Makes Significant Purchases of Moldflow Manufacturing Solutions Products

WAYLAND, Mass.--Sept. 30, 2002--Moldflow Corporation (NASDAQ:MFLO), the world leader in process-wide solutions for optimizing the design and manufacture of plastic products, today announced that Tyco Electronics, a world leader in cutting-edge wireless, active fiber optic and complete power systems technologies, has purchased Moldflow's Manufacturing Solutions products for implementation in several facilities in North America and Europe. The orders, which include seats of Shotscope(R) and Moldflow Plastics Xpert(R), as well as maintenance, support and implementation services, are valued at approximately $700,000. The systems were shipped during Moldflow's first fiscal quarter.
