Proficiency to Exhibit and Present at Fall COE Conference

Company Will Preview Support for CATIA V5 in Private Showings

MARLBOROUGH, Mass., Sept. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Proficiency, the innovator in engineering supply chain collaboration, will demonstrate its Collaboration Gateway(TM) CAD interoperability solution at the COE Fall 2002 Conference and TechniFair, taking place September 29 - October 2, 2002, at the Tampa Convention Center in Tampa, Florida. This conference brings together thousands of CATIA(R), ENOVIA(TM), DELMIA(TM) and SMARTEAM(TM) users for "sneak peek" product demonstrations, hands-on training, and networking with peers from around the globe. During the conference, Proficiency's Director of Product Marketing, Ken Klapproth, will present a related technical session, "Feature-Based Design Collaboration for the CATIA User," on Wednesday, October 2, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. EDT.

Additionally, Proficiency will privately preview Collaboration Gateway support for CATIA Version 5 software at COE, making Proficiency the first CAD interoperability solution vendor to demonstrate product integration to CATIA Version 5 through the CAA V5 interface. In May 2002, Proficiency established a partnership with Spatial, Dassault Systemes' preferred channel for sales and marketing of CAA (Component Application Architecture) V5, enabling the rapid development of this link between the two company's products. The Collaboration Gateway currently provides feature-based CAD file interoperability between Pro/ENGINEER(R) 2000i2 and 2001, I-DEAS(R) 8 and 9, Unigraphics(TM) 16 and 18, and CATIA V4.
