New Curriculum Development Specialist to Expand CAD, CAM and Manufacturing Curricular Programs for Academic Distributor
CONCORD, NH - September 6, 2002 - Tech Ed Concepts, Inc. (TEC, Inc.), North American Academic Distributor of 3D engineering and manufacturing software and curricular programs for educators and students recently acquired Curriculum Development Specialist LaDondra Meredith-Cercone. Cercone is currently in the process of developing curriculum for TEC, Inc.'s new 3D Manufacturing Curricular Program which is scheduled to become available this fall. As an experienced technology educator, Cercone will be developing a complete curricular program that will make it easy for instructors to introduce students to the modern demand of rapid prototyping in manufacturing technology. In addition to writing curriculum for this new program, Cercone will be developing new curriculum materials for TEC, Inc.'s current product lines to better accommodate instructors who teach CADKEY�, DataCAD�, SURFCAM� and rapid prototyping technology. Cercone comes to TEC, Inc. with over eight years of teaching experience at the middle-school, high-school and adult-education levels at various schools throughout Kentucky. During that time, she taught modular technology, mechanical drafting and robotics. Cercone is certified to teach Technology Education in grades 5-12 and adult-education with a special emphasis in CAD. In 2000, the Kentucky State Technology Education Association (KTSA) awarded Cercone with the KTSA Excellence Award as an Advisor. Cercone had created the largest middle-school KTSA Chapter in the state of Kentucky at the time. She served on the KTSA executive board for five years. Cercone's graduate work includes the study of Vocational Administration with a special emphasis in Technical writing from Eastern Kentucky University. During her graduate work, Cercone received an honorary award from Epsilon Pi Tau, a prestigious society of Technology Educators, recognizing her accomplishments as a technology educator. Richard Amarosa, President of TEC, Inc. stated, "TEC is continuing to build a staff that has a foundation of technology educators to better create technology curriculum of the future. LaDondra's immediate assignment is to develop curriculum for instructors that will provide them with the tools that they need to teach CAD, CAM and rapid prototyping in their classroom while correlating with National and State Technology Education Standards."
