Delcam expands reseller network to accelerate growth in North America
August 28, 2002 - CADCAM software developer Delcam has expanded its North American reseller network to enable the company to accelerate its sales growth in the region. Sales in the first half of this year have increased by over 10% as demand has grown for the company's Power Solution range of design and manufacturing systems and further improvement is expected over the second half of the year. The first of three recent reseller agreements has been signed with a new organisation, CAM Solutions. The company is based in Montreal and will cover the entire Quebec region. CAM Solutions has been founded by Luis Ruivo, who has supplied CADCAM systems to companies in the area for more than ten years and is staffed by experienced personnel from his previous company, C & C Technologies. The second agreement has extended the existing contract with DM Solutions to cover the South-Eastern USA as well as the North-Eastern States. The company, one of the largest CADCAM sales and support organizations in its region, has opened an additional office near Orlando, from which it will cover Florida, Alabama, Georgia and Mississippi. This latest expansion follows a move earlier this year to new, larger offices in New Hampshire. The third agreement is also an expansion to an existing arrangement. Merlan Scientific, which has grown from modest beginnings in 1970 as a science equipment distributor to become a leader in the field of science and technology teaching solutions, is an established reseller of Delcam's ArtCAM engraving software to the educational sector in Canada. Following its success with this software, the company has now been appointed the educational reseller for all Delcam's products in the country. "We are expecting a further increase in demand after the launch of a new version of our PowerMILL machining software with new strategies for five-axis and high-speed machining at the IMTS exhibition next month," commented Delcam's International Sales Director Tim Mitchell. "These latest expansions of our reseller channel will help ensure that we can meet this demand from new prospects as well as improving the support for our existing customers."
