August 28, 2002 - Delcam, the UK's leading developer of CADCAM software, is pleased to announce that Paul Wilkinson, previously a Software Development Director with PTC, has recently joined the company as Senior CAM Consultant. Prior to working for PTC, Paul had spent some 15 years at Computervision, rising to Software Development Manager with responsibility for all the company's manufacturing products, including
CVNC.
During his time at both companies, Paul was principally involved with the development of manufacturing systems for the aerospace, automotive and mouldmaking industries, including three- through to five-axis machining software. Paul also managed a number of bespoke product developments that lead to significant cost savings for major clients.
Announcing the appointment, Delcam's CAM Development Director Steve Hobbs said, "We are extremely pleased to have added Paul Wilkinson to the PowerMILL development team. In particular, his experience in developing five-axis machining strategies and his knowledge of the requirements of the aerospace industry will be most valuable in the future development of the software."
