Also, David Horner of The CADD/GIS Technology Center will join Dr. Francois Grobler of the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center to discuss the International Alliance for Interoperability (IAI) and the Latest Technology for AEC. Graphisoft is a member of the BLIS project, an international partnership of companies and organizations dedicated to the development of interoperable software, and the only 3D AEC modeling vendor to support the IAI's IFC 2.0 standard.
The symposium is organized by The CADD/GIS Technology Center for Facilities, Infrastructure and Environment, which supports and promotes the effective use of Computer-Aided Design and Drafting, Geographic Information Systems (CADD/GIS) and Facility Management applications within the Department of Defense, with other participating governmental agencies at the federal, state and local levels, and the private sector. The center is located at the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center, Information Technology Laboratory, Vicksburg, Miss.
