Caligari Announces tSNet Network Rendering Software

Allows trueSpace Users to Manage Rendering With Multiple Computers

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA - August 19, 2002 - Caligari Corporation, a pioneer provider of 3D multimedia authoring technologies, today announced availability of tSNet, a powerful network rendering plug-in for trueSpace users who want to use their computers in multi-node rendering networks, also known as render farms. The control provided by tSNet helps trueSpace users better manage their projects and optimize rendering times and resources.

"The power and flexibility of tSNet take the management of rendering resources to a new level," said Roman Ormandy, Caligari's president. "tSNet is for serious trueSpace production. Users can shave hours off production time by dedicating all of their processing resources to one project."

tSNet is available in two configurations: a single node batch renderer for rendering multiple scenes as sequential still images or animations, and in multiple node bundles which can be purchased in quantities of 3, 7, 12, or 20 nodes. Users can create powerful networks with multiple computers, providing enormous flexibility. When the demands of a project change, users can easily re-allocate resources as needed by adding or subtracting nodes from their network at anytime.

System Requirements Windows 98/NT/2K/XP and a TCP/IP networking environment, with domain name resolution available. IP numbers are acceptable when adding trueSpace nodes if DNS is not used.

Pricing and Availability 

tSNet is available now, and prices start at $49 for the single node batch renderer and go up to $559 for a 20-node license.
