Shipments of MicroGDS CAD V7.1 to Begin in AugustInformatix Software International Limited is pleased to announce version 7.1 of its MicroGDS CAD software. Shipments will begin in August.
August 15, 2002 - A key strength of MicroGDS is that it integrates high precision 2D and 3D CAD capability, and plot layout and printing technology. Disparate data sets - MicroGDS drawings and frames, Word documents, spreadsheets, raster files - can be easily assembled and printed with no need to buy other software packages. MicroGDS 7.1 develops this strength further, extending MicroGDS's ability to combine data from different documents and introducing a number of new features which make it even easier to assemble sheets ready for WYSIWYG printing. New techniques for associating attribute data with graphic objects, and filtering objects according to attribute values, have been introduced. The OpenDWG engine for DWG/DXF translation, and the LightWorks rendering engine, have both been significantly upgraded. The MicroGDS application interface is now .NET capable, and has been extended to provide access to all the new functionality as well as supporting a whole range of new programming capabilities. Most of all, customers will appreciate the long list of enhancements requested by users, which collectively maintain MicroGDS's position as the most productive and powerful CAD tool available. Chris Russon, Managing Director of Informatix Software International Limited, comments: "As with all MicroGDS releases, our intention is to make our customers even more successful, rather than to follow the latest technology fad. There is no better way to do that than to listen to our customers comments and incorporate them into the product".
