Rhino3Dstore.com Adds Three New Plug-ins

MeshWorks adds more functionality to Rhino's polymesh features for improved prototyping; Involute Gear makes highly accurate involute spur gears in as little as two steps; and RFCommands adds 28 general utilities for more flexible curve and entity handling.

MeshWorks

MeshWorks, from Floating Point Solutions, is an add-on that manipulates polygon mesh surfaces. Rhino is the one of the world's most accurate NURBs modeling programs, however it has a limited number of polygon mesh editing features. Polygon meshes are important to users that need to save and exchange their 3D models as .STL files. MeshWorks has numerous polygon mesh editing features that work inside Rhino 2.0. MeshWorks sells for $395.

Involute Gear

Involute Gear, from Real Factory, creates true involute spur gears, either as a profile or a solid model inside Rhino 2.0. This program is currently available on a special offer, good until August 31st, at $250. Regular price is $300. Through a simple, straight forward interface, Involute Gear automatically calculates a spur gear's involute profile and draws the complete gear in Rhino.

RF Commands

RF Commands, also from Real Factory, is a set of general utility tools offering 28 commands and scripts that enhance Rhino 2.0 curve creation, layer and entity selection. It is available on the same special offer as Involute Gear at $250 until August 31st. Regular price is $300. The add-on includes simple point cloud to NURBS surface conversion as well as thumbnail image creation of each layer.
