Moldflow Announces New Senior Management Positions

WAYLAND, Mass. - July 24, 2002 - Moldflow Corporation (NASDAQ:MFLO), the world leader in process-wide solutions for optimizing the design and manufacture of plastics products, today announced a series of management changes effected by the Company's recently appointed President and Chief Executive Officer, A. Roland Thomas. Mr. Thomas, formerly the Company's Vice President of Research & Development, has expanded the Company's senior management team to include:

• Mr. Peter Kennedy, Vice President of Technology Development. Mr. Kennedy's distinguished career in technology development has included progressive responsibilities within the Moldflow organization since 1987. Mr. Kennedy continues to serve as General Manager of the Company's Ithaca, NY operations.
• Mr. Ian Pendelbury, Vice President of Product Development. Mr. Pendelbury has an established track record of on-time releases of quality software products for Moldflow since 1985. Mr. Pendelbury continues to serve as General Manager of the Company's Melbourne, Australia operations.
• Ms. Lori Henderson, Vice President and General Counsel. Ms. Henderson, formerly Corporate Counsel and Director of Human Resources, has established herself as a key member of the management team since joining Moldflow in 1999.

In addition, in recognition of their outstanding levels of contribution, Mr. Thomas announced the promotion of the following existing senior management staff:

• Ms. Suzanne Rogers, to Executive Vice President, Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer,
• Mr. Richard Underwood, to Executive Vice President of Sales, and
• Mr. Kenneth Welch, to Executive Vice President of Marketing and Field Services.
