ArchVision Sets Its Sights on Growing the Design Visualization Market

Company to Deliver RPC Creation Tools and Content Servers for 3D Market

SAN ANTONIO - July 24, 2002 - /PRNewswire/ -- ArchVision, Inc. today announced the company will increase the breadth of its RPC (Rich Photorealistic Content) solutions by delivering RPC Creation Tools and Content Servers designed to allow customers to build, manage and deliver custom RPC content.

Betting that the growth of the design visualization market hinges on a shift from complex content creation to easier-to-use content assembly and editing tools; the company plans to expand the quality, quantity and reach of manufacturer- specific content to the millions of design professionals around the world.

"Currently designers create most of their content from scratch which is difficult and time-consuming," says Randall Stevens, CEO and President of ArchVision. "While the capabilities of 3D content creation tools have grown over the years, they have also become more complex, making it increasingly difficult to produce photorealistic content which is hindering the growth of the market."

Stevens believes design professionals are seeking solutions to improve the realism of the renderings they create. In addition, they are looking for an intuitive process that includes simpler tools with better results in less time. Next generation RPC Content Creation Tools and Servers deliver that ability by allowing complex 3D data to be converted into optimized RPC content ready to be used in any RPC application.

Stevens reports, "RPC provides a widely accepted, value-added format for publishing 3D content. Since users will be able to publish data in a format that is supported across the majority of design visualization applications in use today, they only have to create and publish once. End users will find the RPC formatted content easier to use and more photorealistic than alternative solutions. Additionally, all data stand in a single file which makes distribution and content management easier."

Leveraging the hundreds of thousands of RPC-enabled applications already in use, the company is in a position to bring together design professionals around the world, while delivering RPC content in a meaningful and efficient way. As part of that strategy, ArchVision will launch RPCnet as a distribution solution to enable customer content to be "published" and available to the design professional community within their RPC-enabled applications.
