Corporate Montage Delivers CADscript V10

Perth, Western Australia, July 2002 � Corporate Montage Pty Ltd today announced the immediate availability of CADscript V10, the WYSIWYG presentation and publication solution for MicroStation. CADscript V10 fundamentally improves usability and enhances the publishing capabilities of MicroStation.

CADscript V10 includes a wealth of new features and enhancements such as new image compression options, increased productivity and rich Desktop Publishing (DTP) tools. CADscript has always been famous for its power of colour. CADscript V10 takes this capability to another level. Graduated, Radial and Halo Fill tools now introduce the ability to define new colour midpoints within the gradient. Multiple colour points can be placed and adjusted anywhere in the gradient fill preview pane. This creative feature allows users to more easily enhance presentations and produce publications that are more realistic.

DTP tools now offers a "One-Sided Halo" tool for linear elements. Users can define a halo on either side of an element and specify a precise distance of the halo through definition or a data-click. Coupled with the new creative feature allowing a virtually unlimited number of colour midpoints for all gradients, users can create an exact visual representation of elements such as coastlines, depth, earth/rock formations and more.

CADscript V10 is immediately more accessible to users with its redesigned interface. The new Graphical Interface in CADscript dialog boxes presents an intuitive, visual management environment for easy re-ordering of priorities, graphical isolation of element groups on screen and for effortless print control. Additional productivity benefits includes the allowance of CADscript text substitution keys to be used anywhere within a text element, new Print Scale management features and several interface and workflow enhancements to ensure that time is not spent grasping at technology.

With the increased use of raster images in the work environment, Corporate Montage has developed a revolutionary tool in the CADscript Print Control to ensure resultant PostScript plot file sizes are kept to a minimum. Image Compression in CADscript V10 utilizes both Level 2 and Level 3 PostScript compression techniques, and combined with CADscript�s image sampling facility provides an exceptionally efficient way of reducing the size of PostScript Plot files.

For users who create large plot files, CADscript is fully integrated with MAPscript Server, Corporate Montage�s plot management system for high-speed plotting. MAPscript Server is a complete network plotting and publishing solution that not only outputs to plotters and printers but to a multitude of different file formats, including TIFF and PDF.
