LightWorks 7.0 - New Modular Product Suite to be Unveiled at SIGGRAPH

LightWorks 7.0 has been restructured as a comprehensive suite of products, each focusing on a specific area of rendering functionality. The new product suite has been designed to enable the creation of a wide range of rendering solutions for all types of market and application. Second-Generation Global Illumination By incorporating innovative technologies, LightWorks Global Illumination will be significantly easier to control than the first-generation global illumination technology in other renderers and will maintain the renowned fast performance of LightWorks. It will give designers unprecedented power for creating subtle images that include the specular and diffuse light-transfer from glossy surfaces and direct caustics.

Industry Specific Content LightWorks Content, including materials, light studios, 3D objects and other productivity enhancing add-ons, provides a powerful way for designers to enhance image realism. Designers have already welcomed the recent release of Mold-Tech and Roehlen materials, which enable the accurate visualization of industry standard surface finishes for molded and embossed products. At SIGGRAPH LightWork Design will be previewing more LightWorks Content to be available soon.

Interactive Photorealism LightWork Design works closely with the leading graphics hardware suppliers to integrate the unique shading technology of LightWorks with hardware rendering, maximising the benefits for software developers and users. The LightWorks OpenGL 2.0 demo � appearing on both the LightWork Design and 3Dlabs booths at SIGGRAPH - will show examples of the power that LightWorks brings to hardware-assisted rendering.
