Tyco Healthcare Makes a Significant Purchase of Moldflow Manufacturing Solutions Products

WAYLAND, Mass.--June 27, 2002--Moldflow Corporation (NASDAQ: MFLO), the world leader in process-wide solutions for optimizing the design and manufacture of plastic products, today announced that the global leader in the medical products industry, Tyco Healthcare, has made a significant purchase of Moldflow's Shotscope product for real-time production and process monitoring on the manufacturing floor. The order, which is valued at approximately $100,000, was shipped during Moldflow's fourth fiscal quarter.
