PROFICIENCY NAMES ERIC TREWORGY VICE PRESIDENT OF SALESRespected Sales Executive Will Drive Revenue Growth in Automotive, Aerospace, Heavy Equipment and High-Tech Manufacturing Markets
MARLBOROUGH, Mass. - June 18, 2002 - Proficiency, the innovator in engineering supply chain collaboration, today announced that it has named Eric D. Treworgy vice president of sales. Treworgy will lead Proficiency's worldwide sales initiatives, driving revenue and rapid market penetration within the automotive, aerospace, heavy equipment and high-tech manufacturing markets. Treworgy brings to Proficiency almost 20 years of successful sales and sales management experience in the software industry, much of it serving the needs of major manufacturing corporations. Previously, he was VP of Sales for Optimax Corporation, a start-up software company later acquired by leading supply chain management vendor i2 Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: ITWO). At i2, Treworgy served for several years as vice president of e-business and industrial accounts, leading a team focused on strategic relationships with Case Construction Equipment, Covisint, Cummins, Deere & Company, General Motors, Hyundai, Toyota, and Volkswagen, among others. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Yale University.
