Proficiency Selected as Charter Spatial CAA V5 Adopter

Linking of Collaboration Gateway with 3D PLM Solutions to Spur Engineering Collaboration and CAD Interoperability

MARLBOROUGH, Mass., May 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Proficiency, the innovator in engineering supply chain collaboration, today announced that it has been selected as the first Spatial CAA (Component Application Architecture) V5 Adopter. Through this agreement with Spatial, a market-leading provider of 3D development technologies, Proficiency will gain access to the CAA V5 middleware and receive related development support.

The new relationship will enable Proficiency to develop a link between its powerful Collaboration Gateway interoperability solution and Version 5 of Dassault Systemes' pre-eminent CATIA(R) CAD/CAM/CAE software. Dassault Systemes and Proficiency customers will benefit by being able to share part and assembly design information with other designers and manufacturing partners more readily, streamlining the product development process.
