EDS PLM Solutions to Incorporate i2 Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) Into Teamcenter(TM)Solution to Enhance Collaboration With Suppliers to Drive Down Costs And Accelerate Time-to-Market
PLANO, Texas, May 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- EDS (NYSE:EDS) today announced that its EDS PLM Solutions line of business will couple the i2 Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) solutions into its Teamcenter(TM) product lifecycle management (PLM) software suite. This new web-centric capability from the i2 SRM solution will enhance Teamcenter's ability to enable companies to collaborate with suppliers, more effectively bridging the part selection process in product development with product sourcing. This process will help companies to quickly find, evaluate and select the best new parts and suppliers, and strategically re-use existing parts to help drive down costs and accelerate time-to-market.
