PTC Receives Windchill Order from Bose

Sound Leader to Standardize on PTC Solutions for Collaboration and Control in Product Development

NEEDHAM, Mass., May 7 -- PTC(R) (Nasdaq: PMTC), the product development company(TM), today announced it has received a new order for Windchill(R) software and services from Bose Corporation, one of the world's leading manufacturers of premium sound systems. Bose selected PTC technology in support of its product development environment. The software was shipped during PTC's second fiscal quarter (ended March 30, 2002) .

Bose, headquartered in Framingham, Massachusetts, chose PTC Windchill technology after an evaluation of several competitive solutions. Bose intends to use Windchill company-wide for product data management, the automation of engineering change orders, and as a collaborative platform both within Bose and with external suppliers and partners.
