LK Ltd Releases D-Cubed’s CDM Component Into the CAMIO Suite of Coordinate Measuring Machine Applications

April 2002 - D-Cubed Ltd. announces the licensing of its Collision Detection Manager component (CDM) by LK Ltd., a leading manufacturer of coordinate measuring machines (CMM) and developer of supporting software. The CDM has been released into the CAMIO Software Suite of CMM programming tools.

LK’s sophisticated CAD based CMM programming tools enable users to create inspection programs and simulate the measurement process. With a familiar and intuitive interface CAMIO closes the gap between CAD designers and CMM programmers. By using the fast collision detection functionality provided by the CDM, CAMIO is now able to automatically identify collisions between the measuring probe and the part to be inspected. This allows more confident off-line programming, hence increasing the productivity of the CMM machine.

The CDM provides rapid, accurate collision detection in several of the world's major CAD applications. CMM software is the latest example of the diverse applications for which the CDM's versatility, performance and accuracy is ideally suited.
