VX Corporation Licenses D-Cubed’s 3D DCM Component

Cambridge, England. – Apr. 17, 2002 – D-Cubed Ltd. announces that its 3D DCM (Dimensional Constraint Manager) component has been licensed by VX Corporation, of Palm Bay, Fla., the pioneering developer of advanced, integrated CAD/CAM solutions for engineers and industrial designers, for integration into VX CAD/CAM software. Award-winning VX software is a fully-integrated CAD/CAM environment that provides advanced three-dimensional surface and assembly modeling, mold design and manufacturing planning for rapidly developing high-quality products. Within VX, the 3D DCM will animate and investigate movable assembly mechanisms to ensure proper functioning of linkages and movement of underconstrained assembly parts. The 3D DCM is the industry’s most widely used 3D geometric constraint solving system, allowing a broad range of dimensions and constraints to be added between the full spectrum of geometries found in mechanical CAD applications.
