Axiom Announces  SpellCheckerPlus for V8 for MicroStation V8

CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, USA � Axiom recently announced the release of the first of many utilities for MicroStation V8, SpellCheckerPlus for V8. Picking up where MicroStation�s default spell-checker leaves off, SpellCheckerPlus for V8 offers spell checking of text within cells, text on levels not displayed and text in reference files; zooming in on misspelled words; optional changing of the scale and symbology of text and cells during find and replace operations; and a shareable project dictionary.

Spell checking of text within cells, on levels not displayed and in reference files SpellCheckerPlus for V8 allows MicroStation users to find and correct misspellings in text elements that are component elements of cells. If a word is misspelled in a cell, SpellCheckerPlus for V8 will zoom in on the misspelling and let the user correct it, add the word to his own personal dictionary, add the word to the shared project dictionary or ignore the misspelling. The same applies to text on levels that aren�t turned on.

Spell checking options also include checking reference files that are not displayed and restricting spell checking to text within clipping boundaries.

Zooming in on misspelled words
Upon encountering a potentially misspelled word, SpellCheckerPlus for V8 zooms in on the word allowing the user to see it in context. Optionally, the user can zoom in further, zoom out or make the word blink to spot its location when the view is zoomed out.

Intelligent finding and replacing of text and cells
When doing find-and-replace operations, SpellCheckerPlus for V8 allows users to change the scale, color, weight, level and font of text and cells being replaced according to the active settings.

Sharable project dictionaries
SpellCheckerPlus for V8 allows multiple users working on the same project to share a project dictionary. When SpellCheckerPlus for V8 flags a word that should not be considered misspelled, the user can easily add this word to a project dictionary. Thereafter, whenever another user spell-checks a design file that contains that same word, SpellCheckerPlus for V8 will not flag it. This feature saves time because SpellCheckerPlus for V8 skips over words that were previously added by other users.
