HUNTSVILLE, Ala., April 2, 2002 - The Process, Power & Offshore division of Intergraph Corporation <Nasdaq: INGR> has sold 50 licenses of its Plant Design System (PDS(tm)) to CTCI, Taiwan's largest engineering, procurement and construction firm. With the purchase, CTCI has adopted PDS as one of its standard software systems for engineering design of process, power and related plants. CTCI is deploying PDS throughout its design and engineering centers in Taipei and Kaoshiung, Taiwan; Beijing, China; and Bangkok, Thailand.

PDS, the flagship software of Intergraph Process, Power & Offshore, is the world's most-used 3D and 2D process and power plant design and modeling system.

CTCI Executive Vice President C. F. Lin said, "After extensive evaluation of the market and the projected workload, CTCI decided that PDS was one of the top choices for a standard detail design system. The long history and reliability of PDS in addition to the fact that most of the major engineering firms in the world use it, made the Intergraph software among the top options for satisfying future customer requirements."

Kevin Stanley, vice president, Asia Pacific business unit, Intergraph Process, Power & Offshore, said, "Deployment of PDS will help enable CTCI to successfully bid on new projects, diversify its design experience and grow its business. The PDS infrastructure will play a contributing role as CTCI continues to move into new market areas and develop new expertise, especially in waste energy recovery, biochemicals and pharmaceuticals throughout the region and the world."

About Intergraph PDS

Intergraph PDS is the industry's most-used integrated process and power plant design suite. PDS enables concurrent multi-discipline engineering and worksharing, improved design coordination, fewer errors and increased productivity. Specification-driven design eliminates field rework and accurate material takeoffs cut procurement costs. Extensive reference data speeds creation of models and schematics. PDS comprises integrated 2D and 3D modules corresponding to engineering tasks in the design workflow. Modules include: Process Flow Diagram (PFD), Piping & Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID), Instrumentation, Piping, Pipe Support Modeler & Explorer, Equipment Modeling, Structural Modeling (FrameWorks(r) Plus), HVAC Modeling, Electrical Raceway and Interference Checking. PDS is extensively integrated with Intergraph software that supports engineering, design, operations and maintenance tasks throughout the plant and rig life cycle.

Recent upgrades to PDS include the biopharmaceutical edition, released fourth quarter 2001, which includes new capabilities for design of biochemical and pharmaceutical plants. The software includes biopharm piping specifications and supports 3D modeling and isometric extraction of multiport valves and related industry-specific components. Planned for availability second quarter, the 7.1 version features expanded capabilities for integrated 3D modeling of offshore oil and gas structures, including conventional fixed (jacket, platform and topsides) and advanced designs.

CTCI: Expanding Expertise and Markets

CTCI is the largest engineering, procurement and construction firm in Taiwan. The company is engaged in EPC projects in petroleum refining, petrochemical and gas processing, chemical manufacturing, power generation, metal production, storage terminals and infrastructure. Current major projects include performing the majority of EPC contracts for reformers, heaters and furnaces for Formosa Plastic Corp.'s No. 6 Naphtha Cracking expansion project in Yunlin County, Taiwan. Established in 1979 from its corporate predecessor, CTCI Foundation, the company employs about 2,200 people and operates 14 domestic and eight international affiliated companies.
