Three Major Worldwide Manufacturers Make Investments in Moldflow Software

WAYLAND, Mass.--April 1, 2002--Moldflow Corporation (NASDAQ: MFLO), the world leader in process-wide solutions for optimizing the design and manufacture of plastic products, today announced that Daimler Chrysler and Intersurgical Ltd. have made significant investments in the Moldflow Plastics Insight(TM) (MPI(TM)) suite of design optimization software. These orders, valued at approximately $150,000 and $110,000 respectively, shipped during Moldflow's third fiscal quarter.

Also announced today is a significant order placed by Novembal Les Cheres, a division of Business Area Carton Ambient (B.A.C.A.), a leading multinational manufacturer of systems for processing, packaging and distributing liquid food products. The order, which is valued at approximately $100,000 and includes seats of EZ-Track(TM) and Moldflow Plastics Xpert(TM), represents the second significant investment made by B.A.C.A. in Moldflow's Manufacturing Solutions products. This order shipped during Moldflow's third fiscal quarter.
