AUTOSOLIDS GAINS 2D-TO-3D AUTOMATION VIA 'AUTO-Z'

Pace, Florida, March 26, 2002- AutoSolids, Inc.(ASI) today announced the inclusion of a special edition of CADalog Inc.'s "Auto-Z" 2D-to-3D automation software with ASI's 3D solid modeling program "AutoSolids." Auto-Z is now included free with new purchases of AutoSolids. Existing AutoSolids users can also purchase Auto-Z from ASI, and existing Auto-Z users are now eligible for discount pricing on AutoSolids.

AutoSolids and Auto-Z are both add-on software packages for AutoCAD. Two major AutoSolids features are 1)parametric creation and editing of 3D solids, and
2) automatic multi-view 2D geometry generation from 3D solids via AutoSolids' "QuickDraw" feature. Auto-Z performs the reverse function of QuickDraw, creating 3D solids from multi-view 2D geometry. The special edition of Auto-Z included with AutoSolids creates parametric 3D solids, fully editable via AutoSolids. "We have been impressed with Auto-Z's capabilities since our first experience with the product" says ASI's Scott Slavik, "and feel it to be a perfect complement to AutoSolids. Auto-Z is an invaluable tool for anyone dealing with both 2D and 3D AutoCAD data."

On it's own, Auto-Z creates non-parametric native AutoCAD solids, which, like all native AutoCAD solids, are difficult to modify when changes become necessary. When combined with AutoSolids, however, Auto-Z solids are parametric and easily changed via AutoSolids' editing facility. Further, non-parametric AutoCAD solids can now be converted to parametric AutoSolids models by using AutoSolids' QuickDraw utility in conjunction with Auto-Z. By first creating multi-view 2D geometry from the native solid via QuickDraw, and then passing that 2D geometry to Auto-Z, the end result is a new solid, geometrically identical to the original, only now parametric and fully editable via AutoSolids. And, as with all AutoSolids solids, the new solid remains in 100% .dwg format, so fully compatible with all native AutoCAD commands as well."
