IDEAL Unveils Scan-to-Network Solution Provides Instant Network Access of Scanned Documents

IDEAL's Scan-to-Network provides a solution to the problem of organizing and viewing drawings over a network/Internet. The Scan-to-Network Scanning Solution is targeted to the AEC, CAD, Manufacturing, GIS, and Reprographics industries. Scan and Automatic Index IDEAL's Scan-to-Network Solution includes a 25" plug and play monochrome scanner that scans and automatically extracts title block information from scanned drawings to an archiving database such as Access. The archiving data can also be pulled into Excel or saved as raw text (comma delimited). Scanned drawings are indexed by information contained in thedrawing's title block. For instance, a drawing can be indexed by project, designer, date of drawing, etc. In addition, the user can customize or define the fields based on specific requirements. Since indexing is automatic, the user only needs to view and check the results for quality control purposes. Browser View and Collaborate With IDEAL's Scan-to-Network Solution you can immediately view scanned images over the network using a standard web-browser. Network users can use their standard web browser to find, view, and print their black and white scanning jobs. No client software or configuration is necessary on any of the workstations. Users can review the scanned images, prior to printing, for quality control purposes and updates.
