PocketCAD To Launch Two New Viewer Products

New PocketCAD Viewer 4.0 provides support for DWG as well as DGN. New entry level DWFview provides and inexpensive option for those who just need to see their drawings.

DULLES, Virginia - February 21, 2002 Arc Second, Inc., the leading provider of full-function mobile CAD software solutions, today announced a new line of CAD viewers that will replace PocketCAD Viewer 3.0. The new PocketCAD Viewer 4.0 addresses the needs of users who want to be able to simply view and redline a drawing. The entry-level PocketCAD DWFview is for users who need to view drawings on site but do not want to carry a cumbersome roll of blueprints.

"PocketCAD Viewer 4.0 and DWFview will help Arc Second to expand the reach of its mobile CAD products beyond the typical CAD user base," noted Edward Barrientos, President and CEO of Arc Second. Availability and Pricing 

The more comprehensive PocketCAD Viewer 4.0 is scheduled for release at the end of February. PocketCAD Viewer 4.0 will enable users to not only view their exported files but also redline and inquire. It is available with either AutoCAD (DWG and DXF) or MicroStation (DGN) support. PocketCAD Viewer 4.0 pricing starts at $139.

Presently, the entry-level PocketCAD DWFview can be downloaded directly from www.pocketcad.com for $29.95. With this version of PocketCAD, users will be able to export their web-based DWF drawings to their Windows-based mobile device and view their files using functions such as pan and zoom. They can also pull distances between points and control layers.
