Intergraph's GeoSpatial World 2002 Provides "Ideas You Can Use" for International Mapping and GIS Community

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., Feb. 1, 2002 - The Intergraph GeoSpatial Users Community (IGUC) has finalized plans for GeoSpatial World 2002, the IGUC International Training and Management Conference. GeoSpatial World 2002 brings together mapping and GIS specialists and industry colleagues from around the world to share and experience first-hand the real-world strategies and solutions presented at this event. More than 190 technical sessions are organized into key tracks that include Federal/National Government Solutions, Local/Regional Government Solutions, Public Works and Utilities Industry Solutions, Product and Technology, Transportation Industry Solutions, Education, and Management and Strategic Direction.

The Power to Learn Student Poster competition winners and Educator Best Practices award recipients will be honored at GeoSpatial World 2002 for their use of GIS technology in the classroom. Winning entries from students will be on display at the conference. Educator recipients will receive their Best Practices awards at the conference and will also present their entries in the education track of the technical program.
