Project Book Guides Users to Learn DataCAD 10 Basics

The DataCAD 10 Project Book is the latest release in Dr. Nasman's popular series of Project Books. The recent release of DataCAD 10 software has drawn great attention in both academic and commercial markets. The Project Book coincides with the latest release of the software to provide a quick way for users to learn DataCAD 10 basics. 

The DataCAD 10 Project Book has been written for both new and current users of the software that include students in technology education, "tech prep," or introductory level architectural CAD courses, vocational technology courses, college architectural design classes, and architects and designers just starting with CAD.

The Project Book is divided into a series of drawing projects developed to help new users explore and appreciate three-dimensional architectural design and drawing. It introduces the fundamental operations needed for creating floor plans, adding dimensions, and using many of the template symbols included with DataCAD. Basic DataCAD 3D design and modeling concepts are covered, and instructions show how to create hidden line renderings and include them with working drawings. In addition, there are two chapters devoted to wall and foundation detailing. Dr. Nasman has expanded the text by challenging users in the last chapter of the book to complete a 3D model of a two story home where users create slabs, voids, and use the 3D stairs macro.
