PocketCAD Interface for MicroStation V8 Now Shipping

DULLES, Va.-January 16, 2002 -Arc Second, Inc., the leading provider of mobile CAD software solutions, today announced that the PocketCAD PRO interface for Bentley's MicroStation* V8 DGN file format has been released.

PocketCAD, the most comprehensive mobile CAD application available in the industry today, is fully functional CAD software for Windows* powered mobile devices. It allows mobile professionals to create, edit and view design drawings at the job site, reducing the need to bring paper blueprints into the field.

With the new MicroStation V8 interface, PocketCAD users will be able to create, edit and view MicroStation V8 files. It will also read earlier MicroStation files as long as MicroStation V8 is loaded on the desktop computer.

Users of PocketCAD today include engineering project managers, job-site inspectors, maintenance personnel, facilities managers, manufacturing engineers, product designers, architects, space planners and others who require mobile access to site and facility design information.

PocketCAD PRO sells for $199 with either the MicroStation (DGN) or the AutoCAD (DXF, DWG) filter. A PocketCAD PRO version supporting both MicroStation and AutoCAD file formats is available for $258. PocketCAD is sold through a network of dealers or can be downloaded directly from www.pocketcad.com
