EDS Names New Head of Marketing and Portfolio Management for PLM Solutions Line of Business25-Year Product Lifecycle Management Industry Professional Bill Carrelli to Lead Marketing Initiatives for New EDS Unit
PLANO, Texas - December 7, 2001 - EDS today announced Bill Carrelli has been appointed president of marketing and portfolio management for its PLM Solutions line of business. Carrelli reports to Tony Affuso, president of EDS PLM Solutions. Carrelli's appointment is effective immediately. He replaces Glenn Wienkoop, who resigned from EDS to pursue other opportunities. Carrelli brings to the position more than 25 years of experience in the product lifecycle management (PLM) industry, most recently serving as vice president of business development for Structural Dynamics Research Corporation (SDRC). He has held positions in engineering, sales, sales management and global marketing with responsibilities spanning technical sales and support, global major account development, marketing communications, product marketing and business development. "Bill will be a great asset to us in formulating and deploying aggressive marketing initiatives," Affuso said. "He has a wealth of industry experience that will be invaluable in helping us achieve our business goals in a rapidly expanding market." Carrelli holds a B.S. degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Cincinnati. He has completed the executive development program in marketing and business development at Stanford University.
