Information Laboratory, Inc. Announces Release of its Highly Innovative Software Analysis and Visualization Application -  Small Worlds

NEW YORK , NY - November 8, 2001 - Information Laboratory, Inc., the New York-based software and services company, is announcing the release of its highly innovative application for analyzing and visualizing large-scale software, Small Worlds.

The application helps all participants in the software development process to become more aware of the issues of stability, scalability, and maintenance. Small Worlds provides users with a visual map of any software written in Java or C++. It performs a structural analysis of these applications, evaluates the overall stability, and points out potentially problematic areas.

Empirical studies and beta testing indicate that the application will lower the risk of production releases, reduce the learning curve, ease the knowledge transfer process, and facilitate the development of more stable corporate software.

Alex Iskold, president of Information Laboratory, said that the product is expected to be a big hit, despite the slowdown in the economy and software development in particular. "The fresh, innovative, global perspective that we bring to the corporate software development process has been long overdue."

Information Laboratory, Inc., also announced that it will add C#, Database, C, and Visual Basic support to its Small Worlds application in 2002.

"The most anticipated new world is the world of relational databases," said Dan Kogan, vice president of technology. "Tracking and analyzing the dependencies among all database objects, tables, views, and stored procedures is going to be of major value to all companies that have large database applications."

Small Worlds was previewed on JDJ Conference, NEW YORK - September 23, 2001.
