Procter & Gamble and Intergraph Process & Building Solutions Sign Global Master Services Agreement

3-year Contract Aims to Maximize Engineering Software ROI for Capital Projects

PHILADELPHIA, Oct. 3, 2001 - The Procter & Gamble Company has signed a three-year global master services agreement with the Process & Building Solutions division of Intergraph Corporation <Nasdaq: INGR>. The agreement has a potential value of $1.35 million (U. S.) if all contract options are exercised over the three-year term. Under the agreement, Intergraph Process & Building Solutions will supply a variety of consulting and related services worldwide to Procter & Gamble. The agreement also includes unlimited licenses for key software that supports Procter & Gamble's existing global installations of the Intergraph Plant Design System (PDS(tm)).

Intergraph officials announced the agreement today in a news briefing at the PlantSuccess 2001 conference which concludes here tomorrow.

Services Aimed at Improving Global Engineering Processes Services primarily include consulting, technical assistance and workshops for key managers and engineers as well as training for software users.

Consulting activities are aimed at implementing strategies for deploying current and future software to improve engineering effectiveness, lower design costs and help ensure globally consistent and reliable results on capital plant construction and revamp projects. Technical assistance programs include working with Procter & Gamble engineers to increase the value of existing and future PDS 3D plant models. For engineers, construction and project managers, a variety of workshops are planned to help Procter & Gamble further optimize the use of PDS for capital and other projects. Training for users of software covered by the agreement is also included.

Software provided under the agreement for unlimited worldwide use by Procter & Gamble includes SmartPlant(r) Review for 3D visualization; SmartPlant Explorer for 3D and 2D engineering data access; and SmartSketch(r) for cost-effective drafting and schematic drawing. Procter & Gamble servers will provide installation of licensed copies of the software for worldwide use by authorized personnel.
