PrescientQA Version 4.2 for Catia Tuned to Automotive Manufacturers' Needs

New Functionality Provides Cycle Time Reduction Tools for Manufacturers

(AMEX-PCD), a leading developer of Cycle Time Reduction software solutions for the manufacturing supply chain, today announced the release of PrescientQA 4.2 for the CATIA V4 platform. This latest release combines the improved speed and interface introduced in the PrescientQA 4.0 platform with new tools and standards specifically tuned to the needs of automotive manufacturers. Additionally, this version allows French language support within the interface for the first time.

PrescientQA 4.2 for CATIA includes the following improvements:

• New Engineering Checklist - provides an automated and comprehensive checklist of items the engineer must review or answer before work can be completed. This replaces arduous manual processes and also creates a way to monitor standards normally beyond the PrescientQA product set.
• Improved Geometry Standards - adds robust filters and report variables to geometric checks to allow full control to fine tune the scope to very exacting criteria and fully customized reporting,
• Improved Standards Highlighting - provides more intuitive highlighting of failed standards within the design data for ease of identification and correction.
• Working Scale - ensures that the working scale of the design adheres to corporate standards to avoid dimensional and unitary errors throughout the design-to-manufacture process.
• French Language Support - PrescientQA 4.2 for CATIA has enabled the ability to support the product's Configurator, Run Panel and Results Browser interfaces in French for immediate localization of the product for French-based corporations.
