SHEFFIELD, UK - 1 October 2001 - LightWork Design, the world's leading supplier of quality advanced computer graphics software for rendering, simulation and visualisation solutions, today announced the opening of a Japanese office as part of its plan to grow the company's business in the region. Guest of honour at the official opening ceremony, held in front of representatives from over 60 Japanese companies, was Sir Stephen Gomersall, the British Ambassador to Japan. Also present was a large delegation of LightWork Design staff from the UK along with the company's new Representative Officer for Japan, Mr. Yuji Nakajima, who recently joined the company bringing with him more than 30 years experience of Japanese and International business development. The ceremony itself was conducted along traditional Japanese lines and included the ancient ritual of Kagamiwari, where a barrel of Sake, a rice-wine, was broken open. The ceremonial opening of the sake cask at Sheffield-based LightWork Design's new office in Japan, hoped to bring blessings of health, happiness and prosperity to the company.
