DataCAD South and Midlands to Now Trade as D3 PLUS
September 14, 2001 - DataCAD today announced that its Southern & Midlands operations will now trade as D3 Plus (pronounced 'd-cubed plus') to reflect its new "triple D" business strategy. This follows last week's announcement that the northern operations will now trade as ISI. The business will consist of three Divisions: DESIGN SOLUTIONSDataCAD's traditional CAD business has been enhanced to provide a wider range of training and consultancy services and will be re-named the 'Design Solutions' division. Examples of the new services offered include Business Process Optimisation, a Structured Staff Development Program for existing and new CAD users and aggressively priced, short to medium term rental of specialist CAD workstations and large format Plotters and Scanners. DATA SOLUTIONSThe provision of bespoke Data Management solutions has been the backbone of DataCAD over the past fifteen years. The new 'Data Solutions' division will continue to provide complete, affordable information management solutions to small and medium size businesses. It will also broaden its scope to address the needs of specific people such as Facilities Managers and senior Management, by making better use of graphical data to improve the communication of information and hence reduce decision times and costs. The 'Data Solutions' division deploys off the shelf software, customising it to meet the specific business needs and work processes of that individual company. It enables ENTIRE organisations to manage all types of information (both digital and previously paper-based) as well as their assets and office facilities, in a controlled and auditable manner. DIGITAL OFFICEFocusing on Digital Communications, 'home office' workers and eBusiness, the "Digital Office" Division will offer a range of IT solutions to small to medium size businesses unable to justify a dedicated IT department. Example services range from setting up the ultimate home office system, to providing efficient networking, video conferencing and communications capabilities between offices. The overall goal of the Division is to assist its clients in providing a modern, reliable IT and eBusiness infrastructure that facilitates improved communication and efficiencies whilst reducing running costs and overheads.
