IRONCAD Japanese Version 4.2J Now Available

ATLANTA, GA. - August 22, 2001 - IronCAD, LLC, the innovation leader in productive solid modeling, today announced the availability of IRONCAD version 4.2J for the Japanese market. IRONCAD version 4.2J incorporates numerous enhancements for both 3D modeling and 2D drawing, plus over 150 quality improvements.

Beta customers and distributors in Japan have praised the new release. According to Junji Kanaoka of Hitachi Zosen Information Systems Co., LTD., IronCAD's premier Japanese distributor, "IRONCAD version 4.2J includes many enhancements that Japanese CAD users have been requesting. The new 2D features and speed improvements have been particularly useful, helping customers quickly complete drawing layouts."

TATEMATSU MOLD uses IRONCAD to create molded parts. Prior to using IRONCAD, 3D design work for their products took two to three days. The same projects are now completed with IRONCAD in about 4 hours. The company expects similar results for 2D applications, based on improved efficiency from the new ability to subdivide parts.

• The ability to directly import IGES wire frame data for use as reference geometry during the model creation process.
• New 3D modeling functionality for sweeping and advanced curve creation.
• At least a 10X performance improvement for drawing view creation from large assemblies.
• A new configuration module which allows users to work in a selectable configuration that updates as changes are made.
• Many new and enhanced 2D capabilities.

IRONCAD version 4.2J will begin shipping to new and Armor Advantage support customers Sept 15th. IRONCAD is available in Japan through Hitachi Zosen Information Systems Co., LTD. and HZS partners as well as other Channel Partners worldwide.
