Rebis PlantFLOW Wins Flow Control Innovation Award

WALNUT CREEK, CA - August 21, 2001 - Rebis, the market leader in plant design and management software, today announced that its PlantFLOW 6.0 Pipe Flow modeling software was one of only five products out of 69 entries selected to receive the Innovation Award from Flow Control Magazine. Flow Control readers, who base their decision on the product's technology, quality and uniqueness, selected the winners. The award will be presented at ISA 2001 in Houston, Texas, on September 11, 2001 by Ron Piechota, Editor of Flow Control Magazine. PlantFLOW enables users to quickly build, modify and review results of piping flow models using real world 3D geometry that can be imported from plant design CAD systems, piping stress models, or created directly within the application. By calculating single phase pressures, flow velocities, temperatures and fluid properties in gas or liquid piping networks, PlantFLOW makes it easy to size pipes, balance flows, and to select and position equipment.

Using an easy to learn graphics interface with spreadsheet input/editing options, users can see a 3D representation of their piping system as it is being created. PlantFLOW provides a library of component pressure loss coefficients as well as explicit models for pumps, compressors and heat exchangers. Output can be reviewed using interactive graphics or through generation of text reports.
