Nemetschek North America Presents the VectorWorks 9 and Industry Series Viewer

COLUMBIA, Maryland - August 13, 2001 - As a benefit to its existing customers, Nemetschek North America today launched a free, downloadable Viewer for VectorWorks 9 and its Industry Series. The Viewer enables those who do not own the program to look at and even print projects created in VectorWorks, ARCHITECT, SPOTLIGHT or LANDMARK.

Sean Flaherty, CTO, Nemetschek North America, stated, "This is the first time we have been able to offer this service to our customers. This is due to the complete re-engineering of the VectorWorks foundation technology in version 9 that has allowed us to offer this type of on-line collaboration between designers and clients during the creative process."

The Viewer lets an individual open a VectorWorks 9 document and make use of the tools and commands for viewing, such as the Pan and Zoom in/out tools. As the Viewer can be utilized by anyone who does not own VectorWorks, this is not only advantageous to clients, service bureaus will also find this valuable for printing VectorWorks files for their customers.
