PlanetCAD and Theorem Solutions Announce Strategic Partnership

cadverter.com Online Translation Service Available to PlanetCAD Customers

BOULDER, CO. - July 2, 2001 - PlanetCAD Inc. (AMEX-PCD), a leading developer of engineering software solutions that integrate engineering processes and data with the manufacturing supply chain, today announced a strategic partnership agreement with Theorem Solutions. Under the terms of this relationship, PlanetCAD and Theorem will collaborate to provide Theorem's cadverter.com online data translation service to PlanetCAD's customers.

cadverter.com is an online CAD translation application similar to PlanetCAD's award winning application -- 3Dshare.com. cadverter.com is now available through PlanetCAD's newly redesigned website.

This strategic alliance will allow PlanetCAD to provide continued online CAD translation for its valued customers while it temporarily suspends its 3Dshare.com service.
