ROHN Industries Selects Solid Edge from Unigraphics Solutions to Design Telecommunication Towers

ST. LOUIS, MO - February 15, 2001 - Unigraphics Solutions Inc. (NYSE: UGS) today announces that Peoria, Illinois-based ROHN Industries has selected Solid Edge as its mechanical computer-aided design system.

The leading manufacturer of telecommunications infrastructure equipment chose Solid Edge following a technical benchmark between three competitors. ROHN replaced its existing CAD system with 20 licenses of Solid Edge, as well as UG/CAM software to meet the company's manufacturing requirements.
