EMT Software Ships New SolidMech Release

Adds Over One Million Parts; Drops Price

BELLINGHAM, WA - February 2, 2001 -  EMT Software, Inc., announced today that it is now shipping a new release of SolidMech, a parametric parts library for SolidWorks 2000. The add-on package includes a library of more than one million parts and is available for a limited time at $295 USD, a $200 reduction of the regular price.

Expanded & New Features

SolidMech 3.2 gives engineers and designers greater functionality when creating mechanical parts with a new hardware library that includes listings from 37 vendors as well as ANSI, ISO, JIS and DIN standards. EMT Software has also enhanced the standard parts selections of fasteners, bearings and steel shapes, and added a new software interface.

SolidMech 3.2 comes with a Helical Thread option, a Hole Editor and automatic assembly of bolts and washers. Hardware tables may be edited and the changes can be saved.

New Part Types

New part types include: bearings (new needle bearing type, tapered roller type), electronic hardware (spacers and stand-offs), locating components, mechanical hardware, mold components (injectors, pins, sleeves, bushings), motion components, plastic extruded shapes, shaft components (keys, o-rings, and clips), and steel shapes/beams.
