Alias/Wavefront Releases StudioTools for HP-UX PlatformIndustrial Design Software Now ShippingTORONTO, Canada - February 2, 2001 - Alias/Wavefront, an SGI (NYSE: SGI) company, announced today that it has released a version of its 3D computer-aided industrial design (CAID) software family, StudioTools, made specifically for the Hewlett-Packard HP-UX operating system. StudioTools products, including DesignStudio, Studio, AutoStudio and SurfaceStudio, are now shipping for HP-UX 11 running on HP Visualize workstations. The new release marks another step in an ongoing Alias/Wavefront expansion program that has already added Sun Solaris, Windows NT and Windows 2000 to the company's long standing operating system base of SGI Irix. The purpose of the program is to make StudioTools software available to a broader range of industrial designers around the world.
