New Manager for Delcam Inc

BIRMINGHAM, UK - February 1, 2001 - Delcam plc is pleased to announce that Philip Hewitt has been appointed Product Manager for the company's CopyCAD reverse engineering program and its PowerINSPECT inspection software at the American subsidiary Delcam Inc. Hewitt is an Engineering graduate from Kings College, Cambridge, who worked for a range of manufacturing and software development companies before joining Delcam in 1999.

CopyCAD provides a comprehensive toolkit that can be used for a wide range of reverse engineering applications, including the incorporation of complex detail onto product designs, creating new designs from existing parts and tooling repair. It is highly interactive and intuitive, and gives the user maximum control and flexibility when generating surfaces from digitised data.

PowerINSPECT offers fast, real-time quality control, allowing detailed reports to be produced in minutes. The speed of the software allows inspection throughout prototyping and manufacturing. This means that problems can be detected earlier and corrected at lower cost.

Both CopyCAD and PowerINSPECT can be used with all leading CADCAM systems or as part of Delcam's Power Solution range of software for product design and tooling manufacture.

Announcing the appointment, Delcam Inc. Vice President Pedro Leon said, "During last year, Delcam more than doubled its revenue from both CopyCAD and PowerINSPECT. Both reverse engineering and inspection are predicted to show further growth during this year.
