Spicer Corporation and VIDAR Systems Corporation Partner

Select and SelectPro monochrome scanners to incorporate Spicer Imagenation's scanning, viewing and editing features

KITCHENER, ON - January 22, 2001 - Spicer Corporation, developer of innovative data visualization software, has entered into a partnership agreement with large-format document scanning leader VIDAR Systems Corporation to provide exceptional scanning capabilities for VIDAR scanners.

Imagenation will provide native driver support for VIDAR's wide-format monochrome scanners, Select and SelectPro. Extending the VIDAR tradition for quality, reliability, speed and accuracy, the Select and SelectPro are designed to provide demanding professionals with immediate benefits in performance, productivity, and cost containment with new state-of-the-art features to meet the most critical applications.

Using Imagenation, VIDAR Select and SelectPro monochrome scanners will have the capability to scan, view, and perform cleanup functions for drawings produced in the GIS and mapping, CAD, engineering, facilities management (FM) and reprographics industries. Imagenation's editing features will let users enhance image quality with tools that deskew, despeckle and crop images, resulting in clear, accurate documents.
