Moldflow Receives Multiple Large Orders From Major Manufacturers Worldwide

Industries Represented Include Automotive, Electronics, and Contract Manufacturing

WAYLAND, Mass. - January 2, 2001 - Moldflow Corporation (Nasdaq:MFLO), the world leader in process-wide solutions for optimizing the design and manufacture of plastic products, today announced that they received significant orders from five major manufacturers worldwide.

The orders, which were all received during Moldflow's second fiscal quarter, came from a variety of industries spanning automotive, electronics and contract manufacturing. International automotive giant DaimlerChrysler ordered over $280,000, Korea's largest cable manufacturer LG Cable ordered over $115,000, and orders individually valued at over $150,000 were received from Japanese companies Muto Seiko, Yamaichi Electronics, and Kuroda Kagaku. Moldflow expects to ship all five of these orders during the third fiscal quarter beginning in January 2001.
