ASPire3D and Quickparts.com Announce Strategic PartnershipARLINGTON, TX and ATLANTA, GA - January 2, 2001 - ASPire3D, the leading ASP provider of 2D-to-3D CAD conversions, and Quickparts.com, the leading web-based supplier of rapid prototypes via their online instant quoting system, announce a formal Strategic Partnership agreement to cooperatively offer each other's web-based services. Under the terms of the agreement, ASPire3D and Quickparts.com customers would be able to access either service from their respective web portals. The companies intend to further develop the strategic partnership in 2001 by exploring the integration of each other's technology within the framework of their respective offerings. This is the first such cross-linking arrangement that ASPire3D has made since its official opening two months back. For Quickparts.com, this relationship presents a streamlined solution to its customers who want to use Quickparts.com for the power and value of online instantaneous quotes, but need to convert their 2D drawings into 3D solid models. The Quickparts.com Online Instant Quoting System requires the use of the customer's 3D solid model. In the year 2000, Quickparts.com delivered more than 6700 instantaneous quotes valued at over $10 million dollars. ASPire3D recently won several prestigious awards for the world's first automated 2D to 3D conversion ASP - 2Dto3DCAD.com. ASPire3D has hundreds of customers from around the world who have successfully used the 2Dto3DCAD.com ASP to convert their 2D drawings to parametric 3D models. This partnership with Quickparts.com will allow these customers to turn their 3D models into real parts by providing them with automated instantaneous quotes for the manufacture of rapid prototypes, injection molded plastics, and cast metal parts. According to Dr. Raj Ganesan, Vice President for Development for ASPire3D, "We saw great synergy in the services provided by Quickparts.com and our own conversion services. It would seem natural for many of our customers to want to know what it would cost to manufacture their part after taking their 2D drawings to 3D models." He added, "We see greater collaboration in the future with Quickparts, including possibly a co-branding arrangement that will make it even easier for our customers to seamlessly access both services." Mark Mackie, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Quickparts.com, adds, "This partnership with ASPire3D will help us solve a problem that we regularly encounter with our new customers who currently use 2D CAD, namely the conversion of their 2D drawings to 3D solid models. We now have a partner to seamlessly provide the 2D-to-3D CAD conversion services that some of our registrants need in order to experience the time savings and value of online instantaneous quotes and the Quickparts.com system. This partnership is a classic win-win-win situation." About ASPire3DASPire3D is an ASP portal from Imagecom, Inc. - a privately held company located at Arlington, Texas.
