Alias|Wavefront Brings Studio|Tools Family to HP-UX PlatformExtends Accessibility to Broader Range of UsersTORONTO, Canada - August 7th, 2000 - Alias|WavefrontTM, a SGI (NYSE: SGI) company, announced that it is releasing an HP-UX version of its 3D computer-aided industrial design (CAID) software family, Studio|ToolsTM. Expected to ship in the Fall of 2000, Studio|Tools software for HP-UX includes DesignStudioTM, StudioTM, AutoStudioTM and SurfaceStudioTM. The HP-UX version of the Studio|Tools family is the latest development in an expansion program that saw support for SunTM Solaris and Windows NT platforms added to the SGI Irix operating system over the past two years. The program is intended to extend accessibility of Studio|Tools software to a broader range of industrial designers around the world.
