Cimmetry Includes 2D & 3D SolidWorks Support in AutoVue

MONTREAL, Canada - August 2, 2000 - Cimmetry Systems, Inc., a leading developer of View, Markup & Collaboration solutions announces today the addition of 2D and 3D SolidWorks format support in its AutoVue View & Markup application.

AutoVue now fully supports the SolidWorks design software, allowing users to view and markup SolidWorks models and drawings natively i.e. with no need for conversion. SolidWorks models can be spun, rotated and sectioned. AutoVue also allows models to be displayed in several different render modes such as wireframe and shaded model. Precise measurements of a model's dimensions can be taken and users can simply and easily migrate between a 3D model and any related documents and drafts.

AutoVue is also available in a thin-client Java version, providing visualization and access to SolidWorks files over the Internet, using only a Web browser.

AutoVue supports over 200 Engineering and Business formats, including Acrobat PDF, TIFF, and HPGL. AutoVue integrates with EDM, PDM, and ERP systems as well as ASP and e-business portals.
