Bricsnet and Built1 to Provide Web-Based Project Management for Korean Building Market

Companies to develop Korean version of ProjectCenter

PORTSMOUTH, NH - July 26, 2000 - Taking the next step in fulfilling its global strategy, Bricsnet today announced a strategic alliance with Built1.com (Built1) whereby the two firms will provide web-based project management for the Korean construction industry. Through this alliance, Bricsnet and Built1, a leading provider of Internet services to the Korean building market, will co-develop a localized, Korean-language version of ProjectCenter, Bricsnet's industry-leading online project management system. The two companies will also share advanced technologies and local market knowledge and plan to bring additional technology solutions to builders in Korea and throughout Asia.

"Korean builders need an online project management system designed specifically for the Korean market. That's why Built1 needed a partner that not only offers cutting-edge technology but also one that understands international building markets," stated Byungsoo Park, chief executive officer of Built1. "Bricsnet's superior Internet solutions and unrivaled global presence made it the logical choice. We are confident that Korean builders will respond favorably to the ease of use, advanced functionality and affordability that have made Bricsnet's ProjectCenter the leading project management system for global builders."

Bricsnet's agreement with Built1 introduces ProjectCenter to the US $57 billion Korean construction market. Leveraging its extensive knowledge of the local building market and its investor group with strong ties to the construction industry, Built1 plans to work with Bricsnet to pursue additional strategic partnerships throughout Asia.

"The sizable and growing Korean building market is key to continuing Bricsnet's global expansion. Built1 has extensive knowledge of the Korean market, strong ties to the building industry and is leading an effort to standardize aspects of the building industry in Korea and throughout Asia. Partnering with Built1 gives Bricsnet a strong beachhead in the Korean market, and will help us pursue our goal of offering integrated Internet solutions to building professionals throughout Asia," stated Eric de Keyser, chief executive officer of Bricsnet.

ProjectCenter is a core service of Bricsnet that enables building team members to share documents, review engineering drawings and collaborate on projects via a standard web browser. Available on a monthly subscription basis, ProjectCenter is a hosted extranet service that allows users to get projects up and running quickly without purchasing additional software or hardware. ProjectCenter users estimate saving 25-30% on overhead and administrative costs.

Committed to providing integrated Internet solutions for building professionals worldwide, Bricsnet recently announced that ProjectCenter is available in Dutch, French, German, Japanese and Spanish language versions. Co-headquartered in Gent, Belgium and Portsmouth, NH, Bricsnet also has operations in Germany, France, Holland, Canada and Mexico and a partnership with Nihon Unisys in Japan.
